Media Consumption – Books

There were 3 books that I read for the 2020 Goodreads Reading Challenge
Another year has passed and so has the opportunity to have read more books. And during a year where a pandemic kept pretty much all of us that played by the safe rules isolated and with lots of time to read. And yes, I had some time. And I could have read more. But I didn’t. And I didn’t even blog a 2020 reading challenge post. There was a 2019 post, which was quickly put together [and never posted, which I discovered today – remedied].
Mostly Misses
23 books… in the last 5 years
Even after adding up the total number of books I’ve read over the last 5 years of challenges, I missed making last year’s goal by 1.
So the question begs… why do I even set these reading challenges for myself if I never even come close? Because I like to read and at some point, I feel I can overcome my distractions and other life roadblocks that keep me from doing things I really like. Many years ago, I read a lot. I bought books and read them. I have this grand vision that I will return to that era where I made time to read.
2021 Reading Challenge
1 book read already of 24 books
Here we are more than half way into 2021. I made the same Goodreads challenge of 24 books for this year. And as of this post, I am on track to have read 4 books. Getting 2021 off to a good start. Only 11 more months to go.
Do regular blog updates on your reading line I have been. Keeps me honest.
That is a good suggestion and if memory serves me, one that you have suggested in previous posts/years.
I’ve been so very bad at reading these last few years. I think this year could be the year it all changes. https://twitter.com/kevin_spencer/status/1348395346108379136
That is great. And great choice for a book to the reading changes.
