Passing Them On

the table and chairs I used when I was 2 years old
As I prepare for my 6th move in under 5 years (yes, you read that right), there are things that I cannot take with me. The red table and chairs I had when I was 2 years old – that would be 1965 – have met that fate.
so many memories through the years
I used these until I outgrew them but my mom saved them. They moved with me at the end of 1987 when I moved from California to Utah. Then in 1993, my daughter Tiffany used them [I am sure I have a photo somewhere with Tiffany]. And then in 2004, my granddaughter Ayla used them.
I reached out to a friend – Amanda – who I worked with at a previous job who has a daughter that can use these. She gladly said yes and came over to pick them up this week. I didn’t want to just get rid of them and was happy that they can be used by another little one.
I admit to being a bit sad as I have had them over 58 years. But happy they found a new home.
Wow, you had those for 58 years! Glad they found a new home.
Yeah I was happy I found someone to take them.
Sorry they’re going away but it’s always nice when you can give them to someone you know and trust who will give them the home they deserve.
Yes, the best part of seeing them go away.
