Halloween 2012

My Halloween costume inspiration
As a huge fan of the Back To The Future movies, and as someone who got called “McFly” since the movies came out in the mid-80’s, I thought it would be cool to actually be Marty McFly for the day.
My costume for Halloween 2012
And this is how it turned out. It wasn’t too hard since I already owned all of the clothing. The orange vest came from Old Navy a few years ago. Once I saw it, I knew I wanted to use it as a Marty McFly remake/recreation.
with homemade Hover Board
The Hover Board was self created with poster board and Sharpies. I tried to get in on the pre-order of the official Hover Board prop they made earlier this year, but it sold out. Maybe they will actually make one someday that actually works. Dreamin’ big here.
in costume at work
At work, there are a good amount of people that dress up each year. While I lost the prize for funniest costume to Disco Lady, I did get runner up [a nice round of applause].
Complete costume w/ Hover Board and time circuits screen
I used the Flux Capacitor app on my iPad to complete the costume. Carrying around both the iPad and the Hover Board wasn’t the easiest to do, but I managed.
And now I’m outta time….
Awesome idea and execution. Happy Halloween!
Classic!
Very cool 🙂
This is one of my favorite costumes I’ve seen!
That is so ridiculously beyond cool!
Just getting caught up on blog posts and see this. AWESOME. Mate, that is possibly the coolest halloween costume I’ve seen this year.
TOO AWESOME! You make an awesome Marty McFly 🙂
Thanks to all of your comments on my Marty McFly costume. It was a lot of fun.
