Snowy Tuesday #01

Today I dive right into one of my more creative regular features which I’m proud to say has been a big hit: my weekly “Snowy Tuesday” video:

Snowy Tuesday – 001 from Marty Mankins on Vimeo.

Vainal Leakage

I may, from time to time, through out another video that’s not related to a Snowy Sunday or a Scooter Sunday. And to keep consistent with the rest of my “Leakage” brand, I’ll be branding these types of videos Vainal Leakage.

UPDATE: re-categorized this under “Videos”

Just to keep me and the rest of you entertained. It’s what I do.

Ha! Loved the crediting at the beginning, made me laugh. :)
You do look pretty cool in those shades.

  2. Ren says:

    Early video FTW!

  3. martymankins says:

catherine – Yeah, it’s my one and only plagiarism post… had to show the lineage.

ren – Why wait till Sunday when you have snow today.

  4. Sybil Law says:

I love the sound of crunching on snow. It’s awesome.
I’m glad you did a snowy Tuesday!! (And the shades do look cool. :)

  5. beth says:

Correct me if I’m wrong, but you were holding a camera in one hand and then reached over with the other hand to turn down the radio. What is wrong with that picture?

  6. martymankins says:

sybil law – The crunching of new snow is pretty cool. And thanks on the shades.

beth – The camera was on a tripod, which I set on the console area in the middle of the car. It has extendable legs, which i had pulled over mid-way through the drive to adjust them.

  7. When I say “vainal leakage” out loud it doesn’t sound right at all. Just sayin’ ;-)

  8. Penelope says:

Those sunglasses do look cool – absolutely! ;)
Umm..if this was a DITL, did you spend the entire day in your car??
    …and Kevin – I thought that too!!

  9. martymankins says:

kevin – Yeah, maybe I’ve extended the “Leakage” franchise a bit too much here. ;-)

penelope – Thanks for the sunglasses props. Entire day? nope, thank goodness. And it sounds like I need to rethink a name for my random videos. Video Leakage was just too basic sounding. I wanted to use the word “vain” to describe the videos.

  10. Karl says:

That looks like a pretty dangerous video with you moving the camera around like that. Do you have KITT doing the driving or something?

Looking forward to the show tonight.

  11. martymankins says:

karl – Without a tripod, it could be VERY dangerous. With the tripod, not so much. No KITT, but you know, that’s not a bad idea… Hmmmmm.

Same here. the show tonight should be good.

  12. Winter says:

Great as usual, Marty! I love your vids. I may have to go to Vimeo too because I had UMG mute the sound on a video. I thought UMG artists were okay but apparently not. Fisher lasted about 5 minutes. *sigh*

  13. I love how pretty the new snow looks…I’m glad you didn’t wait with the video!

  14. martymankins says:

winter – Thanks, Winter. Sorry to hear that UMG silenced your video. What song was it?

tori – Yes, I had to have new snow after Sunday’s “dirty” report.

Wow, I can’t believe I missed this when it posted! It’s a Marty-In-The-Life! You’re the man! In fact, you’re the MITL Man!

First I missed Shiny’s plagiarism of an utter from 3 weeks ago and I missed your DITL here from 2 weeks ago. I wonder what I missed a week ago and I wonder what I’ll miss today.

    Thanx for honoring me, sir.

  16. martymankins says:

whall – I think I may have forgotten to put a link to your’s a Shiny’s blogs in the post, which is why you may not seen it yet. Glad you liked the MITL. I’m even more glad (huh?) that DITLs are back.
