Soundgarden Reunites
|Remember this blog post of mine? An Open Letter to Chris Cornell
Did Chris actually read it? I seriously doubt it, but at this point who cares.
Chris is getting the band back together….
Soundgarden Is Back
Yep, it’s official. Mr. Cornell tweeted the following at midnight on January 1st, 2010:
And there’s a new site, with the tag line: The 12 Year Break is Over and School is Back in Session.
Best news of the new year. Now we wait for dates and put all of the Soundgarden on the iPods.

I was just discussing Soundgarden with Kapgar! I’ve been an this crazy, Foo Fighters, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Alice in Chains kick lately, and you just made my freaking year (yes, already!) with this news.
ABOUT TIME, Chris Cornell!!
Fuck yes! 😀
I am so listening to Rusty Cage now. Loud. Yay!!!!
sybil law – Awesome. And a great selection of bands to be into. Rusty Cage is a song that you have to crank LOUD.. extra LOUD!
As I told Sybil, I never was much of a Soundgarden fan, but I will give it a chance. May have to be a library pickup, though.
kapgar – There’s a greatest hits album called “A-Sides” and then there is “Badmotorfinger” (which I recommend over Superunknown) Superunknown is more commerical sounding, even though it contains my favorite SG song “The Day I Tried To Live”
Superunknown is one of my favorite albums of all time. Bugger, I don’t think I even have that CD ripped and on my iPod. A tragedy I tell you. Bet you can’t guess what I’m doing as soon as I get home tonight.
kevin – As I mentioned to Kapgar, I’ve liked “Badmotorfinger” a bit more than “Superunkown” even though that album has my favorite SG song.
And I think I can guess quite well. 🙂
I also heart Soundgarden. Can’t wait to hear more from them. Talent!
nilsa – Awesome talent, indeed.
