Music Monday: Led Zeppelin Turns 55

led zeppelin
The debut album by Led Zeppelin, released on January 12, 1969

I was only 5 years old when this album came out. I didn’t discover it until a few years later. Most likely when “Led Zeppelin IV” came out and I heard “Stairway To Heaven” on the radio.

Being their first album, it’s a must listen for any rock fan.

Track List

  1. “Good Times Bad Times”
  2. “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You”
  3. “You Shook Me”
  4. “Dazed and Confused”
  5. “Your Time Is Gonna Come”
  6. “Black Mountain Side”
  7. “Communication Breakdown”
  8. “I Can’t Quit You Baby”
  9. “How Many More Times”

Both Original and Copied

A good half of the songs on this album were partially lifted from other artists, which years later, the band would properly credit them. This article talks in detail about the song on this album and other Led Zepp albums which songs were copied.

Regardless, this album has stood the test of time and still resonates to this fan.
