Letting the LEGOs have their way this 4th

Sometimes, there a photo that works for multiple years on the same holiday.

When a holiday falls in the middle of a work week, it makes it hard to enjoy. Work 3 days.. off 1 day… go back for 1 day… off for the weekend. No complaints about getting a day off, which I totally appreciate, but at the same time, I do like when holidays fall on a Monday or Friday – for obvious 3-day weekend reasons.

The idea of celebrating our independence is pretty important to me. I embrace the freedoms we have in this country. I do think about how freedom can be taken granted of. I also support the idea of protecting our freedoms, which can be difficult, but very much doing my part as a citizen of this country.

So whether you enjoy fireworks, BBQ, booze or just trying to keep the domesticated pets calm from the noise and distraction of all of the afore mentioned ways to celebrate, give a moment to remember the real reason for today.
