Gone Posted
|Ever have something you want to blog about but when you go to blog about it, you realize that there’s someone that reads your blog that you don’t want to write about that person?
Yeah, this is one of those times. Maybe someday, but not today.
No worries, I will be back tomorrow, after completing a blog post that everyone can read.

It’s me, isn’t it?
Every time that happens, I write something really vague and it just isn’t the same 🙁 Hope everything is okay in Marty-land! 🙂
Story of my life, dude.
Can you do password-protected posts?
Happens to me all the time. I hate it, but in my case discretion is usually better for all, even if it makes me feel stifled.
dave2 – Well, I thought I scared too many people away – including you, from this place with my lack of consistent posting over the last few months. Will have to woo you and the others back.
kilax – All is well with me here. Just some interruptions in my land.
hilly – I feel much better knowing I’m not the only one. Guess I could have gone anonymous over on your blog (which you have offered to me a few times and one of these days, I may just take you up on that)
kapgar – I thought about that, but get bugged about the password protection from others. I understand it, but would like to be more open. I may figure something out here soon.
lisa – That’s what I thought. I may do a third person retelling, which would help mask and protect the real names. 😉
I run across this all the time, but have learned my lesson and now err on the side of caution just as you’re doing. In the past I’ve posted somewhat personal things on spur of the moment as it felt better to get it off my chest. Only to realize that there are people reading that probably didn’t need to read that.
That’s partly why I deleted all my content and started my blog from scratch last year.
kevin – It’s not too often that I reserve a post based on not wanting someone else to read. To err on the side of caution is good if you want to avoid a possible misunderstanding. As I mentioned above, I’m going to try and third person the post so I can post it. That takes longer to massage the details.
Oh boy do I understand this. In fact right now it is killing me not to post about something I think is hysterical because I am afraid it would make someone sad if they read it. I wouldn’t mean it to be mean, but it might sound like it if that person read it.
It’s okay. I won’t cry… much.
🙂
tori – It’s frustrating, isn’t it. You want to post something, but there’s someone out there that may read it and be extra sensitive about it.
sybil law – Don’t cry, Sybil… it’s not about you. 🙂
