Taken on August 6, 2014 at my home in Taylorsville, UT
This is my birthday blog post, complete with another photo of me. I wished I would have taken a photo of myself every year, but there were many years skipped, mostly due to the fact that I didn’t think about this until just a few years ago. It would have been cool to have all of the photos in a folder and then just view each one in a quick slideshow fashion. People age. It happens. And to see the process with 51 photos would be a great way to reflect.
I take a good photo, at least in my humble opinion. As I get older, more lines appear. I have some face fat that I want gone. But for the most part, I feel and look younger than I am. I get guessed for mid 40’s a lot. I’ll take it for as long as it lasts.
The annual Google birthday wish
For the most part, I don’t feel 51 today. Last year, I had a big 50th birthday celebration. This year? Very low key. Not that I can’t party down again. Just want to relax this year. Yeah, yeah… older people relax a lot. We take naps, which I do enjoy when I get tired.
I have some that I know who don’t look forward to their birthday. Nothing special, no need for gifts. Just let it pass. I disagree. Wear your solar return. Make it as great of a day as you want. Accept any gifts that are given [especially bottles of my favorite spirits]. Find the positive in the day.
I know I plan to.
