The 56th Grammys were held last night and many awards were given out. But there was a snub that disturbed many of us music fans.

No, it wasn’t rock or metal. Led Zeppelin won it’s first Grammy for an album that came out over a year ago in 2012. And for metal, heavy metal pioneers Black Sabbath won a Grammy for their single “God Is Dead?”

And Lorde won a couple Grammys. So did Daft Punk, taking home two of the top honors of the night for Album of the Year and Record of the Year.

And obviously, pop music wasn’t snubbed as many awards were given out to all sorts of artists.

Cut To Commericial

Grammy 2014 – Trent, Lindsey, Josh and Dave

UPDATE: YouTube pulled the coverage. I grabbed a copy of it and posted the direct link to it above, which opens the video into a new browser window.

Nope. The snub was a superb performance by Trent Reznor, Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and Lindsey Buckingham doing a great jam as the final performance of the night. Watch the above video [before it gets taken down by the Grammys] and go to 4:30 to see the interrupt.

While I understand broadcast TV time constraints, it was something that many people waited to watch and then to get cut off. Makes me wish there was someone in the audience recording this so we could finish watching it.

Trent was very upset, as he tweeted his distaste for the cut:

Crazy, but that’s how it goes… millions of people, waiting for more.
