Music Monday: 2025 Concerts Lined Up So Far
My first concert of 2025 – Thee Sacred Souls
I ended up going to 25 concerts in 2024. 21 concerts in 2023 and 19 concerts in 2022.
So it’s evident, given the last three years, I will most likely go to more concerts in 2025. We shall see, but I have 11 lined up so far. Here is the list:
2025 Concerts Planned
- Thee Sacred Souls – 01/11/2025 – Union Event Center Salt Lake City, UT
- Lauren Mayberry – 01/31/2025 – Soundwell Salt Lake City, UT
- Foster The People – 02/11/2025 – Union Event Center Salt Lake City, UT
- Crash Test Dummies – 02/12/2025 – The State Room Salt Lake City, UT
- AC/DC – 04/26/2025 – Allegiant Stadium Las Vegas, NV
- Pearl Jam – 05/11/2025 – Lenovo Center Raleigh, NC – NIGHT 1 (there are two nights)
- New Order, DEVO – 05/15/2025 – Kilby Block Party – Salt Lake City, UT – DAY 1
- Weezer, Panda Bear – 05/17/2025 – Kilby Block Party – Salt Lake City, UT – DAY 2
- OMD – 06/06/2025 – Union Event Center, Salt Lake City, UT
- Metallica – 06/27/2025 – Empower Field Denver, CO – NIGHT 1
- Metallica – 06/29/2025 – Empower Field Denver, CO – NIGHT 2
Out Of Town
As you can see from the list, three of the shows I am going to be traveling to.
The Pearl Jam show in Raleigh, NC is night 1 of two nights. While I would love to go to both nights – Night 2 is May 13 – it is cutting too close to the first day of Kilby Block Party. Also, the additional hotel night costs and meals is something I didn’t want to spend.
The AC/DC show in Las Vegas is an easy 6 hour drive and I can do that with just two nights of hotel. Plus this will be my first time seeing AC/DC. I have been a fan since 1977. Really happy that I will be going to this this concert.
And then we have the two Metallica shows in Denver, CO. The ticket was $126 including fees. For both nights, which makes it $63 a night. And each night is a no-repeat, meaning each set will be completely different songs.
Kilby Block Party 4 day line up

You mention that you’re going out of town for Pearl
Jam, but why? Why not a show closer to you like all the others?
There are no Pearl Jam dates close to me for the dates they have announced so far. That was the one that I felt I could get a ticket for. I wanted to make sure I could see them on this tour.
If they end up adding more dates and being closer to me (Vegas, Denver or Salt Lake), I will go again. They haven’t played Salt Lake since August 2009. Would be nice, but I am not holding my breath for that to happen.
