Wags To Wishes 5
Our third year attending – we didn’t go to the first two years
Our local Humane Society holds an event every year called Wags To Wishes. This year was the 5th annual, but it was only our 3rd time attending. Some good friends got us interested 3 years ago where we attended the first time.
The event is a fundraiser to help fund the Utah Humane Society, which is a valuable asset for keeping various orphaned cats, dogs, bunnies, birds and many more pets from being killed. Adoption is the best option and we’ve had our share of adopted pets we’ve taken in over the years.
One of the named cocktails – Whiskered Away – High West Double Rye, Strawberry puree, club soda
The event, which is $150 per person, consists of a silent auction, which is also an open bar, with food and booze donated by various companies and individuals. The drinks, as pictured above, are named appropriately for the event. I had several of those Whiskered Away drinks [well, it is whiskey]
Also donated are the items that are part of the silent auction. They are anything from cat beds to concert packages to jewelry to hotel stays to signed artwork… just to name a few things.
We love this event and plan to attend it each and every year. It’s a fun night out for my wife and I and we help donate to the cause of keeping the furry pets alive until they can find a home.

Did you get anything in the auction?
We ended up with a one night stay at a local hotel, a cat bed, a refillable water bottle, a painting of a sleeping cat that was valued at $900 that we got for $200 and a Coleman cooler full of various local beers.
absolutely love that you do this event. so great!
Thank you.
What an awesome event! And it sounds like you got quite the haul. I love the pic of you two!
Thanks, Kim. We love this event and it all goes to helping the animals, which is a big plus.
