Throwback Thursday: Cheetah’s

the front of a matchbook from the Las Vegas strip club Cheetah’s
A good many years ago, I used to frequent strip clubs, mostly in Las Vegas. One that I remember was Cheetah’s, which is not too far off the end of the strip near where the Sahara hotel and casino used to be [which is now the SLS Las Vegas, a favorite stop of mine when I visit Sin City]

I recall most visits, spending a good $100 a night on couple of lap dances and a few drinks [which were always overpriced and watered down]. I always liked Cheetah’s over other strip clubs, which were less desirable establishments.
The last visit to Cheetah’s I recall was in October 1999, which is actually a music story that I need to post for a future Music Monday. It was a fun visit with friends.
For now, finding this matchbook when I was cleaning out some storage boxes brought back some memories of the late 90’s.
Heckuva find. What did your wife say about it? I know she wasn’t back the but still. I’ve only ever been to a strip club in the French Quarter actually pretty close to this time as well (fall 1998). Just days before Michael Hutchence died.
Thanks. Wife thought it was funny that I had a saved matchbook from a strip club. Oh wow. There’s another lead singer we lost too soon.
