My Own Personal Black Friday
|Yes, I went shopping on Black Friday. But… BUT… I didn’t do the crazy shit by getting up at 2am and waiting for the store to open. Nope, not this year. It was freezing at that hour. Like around 5 degrees. I waited until 8am, went to two stores and was done. I am proud to have done some online shopping, too.
But that’s really not what this post is about. In my shopping today, I looked at some of the flash drives that were on sale and decided to replace my current flash drives. Which got me thinking.. “Why do I need all of these flash drives?”
SO….
They served me well. Now onto serving someone else
Let’s give these away to my readers. I have a 4gb Sandisk and an 8gb Sandisk. As odd as that may sound to give away used flash drives, they do work great. They’ve got some exterior wear on them, which I like to call “field tested” [they’ve mostly traveled in my pocket.. I’ve even cleaned all the pocket lint out of them]. I even have a brand new, in the package 4gb USB flash drive to give away [for those that may not want something used]
Brand new, never been used or opened.
So leave a comment, I will use some sort of random guessing tool and pick 3 winners. If there’s only one comment, you get all 3 [no hacking allowed on my blog to delete other’s comments]
Good luck and let the shopping season begin!
I am so glad you didn’t go out like the nutjobs. You’d have to pay me – a LOT – to go out in that shit.
I’ll do 6am for a great deal (which I have done in years past), but 3am and 4am is just fucking nuts.
I didn’t do Black Friday this year, for the first time in 4 years. I’m just not feeling like spending a lot of money right now, and it was freezing here too! No way.
(I have lots of flash drives so don’t add my name to the randomizer. Just wanted to say hi!)
The cold was the main reason I stayed away from the earlier than 6am hours this year.
Don’t need a new flash drive, but way to recycle those electrons. 🙂
Yeah, I’d hate them to go to waste.
Have people ever hacked your comments in the past?
I could handle a new drive.
No, but I’ve read some WordPress.org support forum posts that have talked about it and how to protect yourself (simple solution is to change your admin user password often, using strong passwords and make sure to use a strong password on your MySQL database)
I spent Black Friday on my back following a back-tweaking. As much as it hurt, I’d have chosen it over hitting the stores at 4 a.m.
Nice work holding off until later in the day. (I have more flash drives than I can use … so you can exclude me from the drawing.)
Ouch! Was it from shoveling too much snow?
Last year we went to the mall at midnight. It was an experience that’s for sure. We had everyone over at our house for Thanksgiving this year and didn’t get an early night so decided that sleep was the far better idea.
The local mall near our house opened at 10pm on Thurs night. Time with family and sleep is much more important than a killer deal at the mall.
