Scooter Sunday #24
|
I’m out of town today [in Mesquite, NV and Southern Utah], so no new episode of Scooter Sunday Captured this week. I know… tears, anger, withdrawal symptoms. I’ll be back next week with a new episode. But, I’ve got a couple of surprises for you this week to hold you over.
Guest Video Post: Fixed Gear Sunday
This week, we have long time commenter breakaway9 [also known in real life as Kris Davey] posting his video ride… not on a scooter, but a fixed gear road/track bike. Kris has been riding his bike to cut down on driving his car. I’ve ridden this fixed gear bike once [just down the driveway at his house] and it’s not easy. So kudos to him for his much-longer ride and one that we get to witness in this video. Enjoy!

BONUS: Scooter Sunday Outtakes
I’ve read all of the accolades and praise from all you, the fans, and didn’t want to go even a single week without something new on the Scooter Sunday front. So here’s a quick minute of outtakes from the first three episodes I’ve done so far. Enjoy and we’ll see you back here next Sunday for an all new episode.

[can you guess what the background music is I used in the video? I know it will be easy for some of you. Chat me up below in the comments.]
Love the Benny Hill background music…..
kris – I knew someone would get the Benny Hill clip. Thanks for making a video for today. It came out really good.
Nice Benny Hil clip lol….
btw i wish i could have scooter now lol
I used to watch Benny Hill all the time when I was younger!
livecrunch – Welcome to the blog. Thank you. Yeah, the scooter is cool.
tori – Loved Benny Hill. And the little bald guy getting his head rubbed and patted. That was some good and ribald english humor.
I love the idea of riding your bike to cut down on car usage – sadly, this isn’t always practical in Minnesota (we get snowed on a bit, if you haven’t heard 😉 but I’m always looking for alternatives to driving!
Will have to watch the video sans-work. Somehow I think Benny Hill might get noticed 😉
Jess
jess sanders – Welcome to the blog. You are correct. Winter time and snow are not scooter-friendly. Salt Lake gets it’s share of snow and cold. Nothing like MN, though.
Yep.. Benny Hill always get noticed. Check out the previous 3 Scooter Sunday posts for more video goodness.
How did we manage BEFORE scooter Sunday videos?!
Come back sooooooonnnnnn!
penelope – New episodes will return this Sunday. I think weather wise, I should be able to get another 4 new episodes out this year.
His video was pretty good! Not sure if anyone noticed, but he ALSO waited until after the red car on the other side of the street, too.
And man, those streets are tiny!
re: outtakes… I can’t wait to see Biden’s outtakes — “so today… [sigh] F!!@#!!”
whall – Yeah, it turned out pretty good. A lot of these streets in Salt Lake valley are pretty narrow.
LOL at your Biden outtake comment. Can’t wait to see what happens tonight.
“Go! Go! GO!!!” Ha ha. Sometimes I feel like that, even when I am in my car 😉 For some reason, the bike is more scary than the scooter.
Ha ha! I am still laughing out loud from the scene on the outtakes! I have to go show it to Steven now; he wants to know why I was laughing out loud 🙂
Great outtakes! Always best to end on the F word. Hee hee. And the bike vid was cool! Made my legs tired watching it. 😉
kilax – Having ridden that fixed gear bike, it is more scary than the scooter. Kris did a great job on his video.
Glad you liked the outtakes. That last one had me laughing at myself. Hope Steven likes them, too.
winter – Thanks Winter. They were fun to put together, culling from the footage I had. Legs tired… that’s a good way to explain that.
