Taken today – 8/6/2012 at my home in Utah
We interrupt Music Monday today for a special event.
Today starts my last year in the 40’s – a countdown to the big 5-0. I helped my wife celebrate her 50th on Friday. Let the planning begin for mine [yes, alcohol will be involved]
This isn’t the first time I’ve posted on my birthday. And with the 50th just 365 days away, I can promise it won’t be the last.
Google remembers me (it cheats.. using my profile page)
For the second year in a row, Google greeted me this morning. So did over 50 of my Facebook friends [I’d like to know how many remembered without using the handy dandy birthday reminder?]
the first photo from Curiosity on Mars
I can now add another historical event that happened on my birthday [at least according to the EDT time zone]. The Mars Rover “Curiosity” made it’s landing on the red planet at 1:32am EDT. While I didn’t watch the actual event happen, I did follow a large amount of people on Twitter that did and posted their up-to-the-minute coverage. Exciting stuff.
So as to try and include something music on what would normally be a Music Monday post, here’s the music video for David Bowie’s “Life On Mars”
And now with that, it’s back to trying to make this day a good one.
