I am for marriage equality. What does that mean? It means I don’t support laws or constitutional amendments that bar or prohibit a tax paying US citizen from their right to marry the person they love/choose.

It means that we shouldn’t have gotten to this point of the Supreme Court having to hear arguments over who should or who shouldn’t be allowed to marry.
It’s 2013 for fuck’s sake. If you feel you must pass laws and other restrictions to keep a certain group of people from being legally married, than I really don’t have much else to say here other than “Why?” There’s nothing perverted about two people of the same sex loving each other and getting married. It’s legal for child molesters to marry someone of the opposite sex, yet for some reason, you don’t seem to be eager to pass laws banning them from being married.
Get with the times here. The tide is pushing this forward. Just like with interracial marriage, same-sex marriage will one day be legal in this country. And just like with slavery, inequality will one day be another closed chapter in our nation’s dark history of prejudice.
Stop spending countless hours and dollars fighting this.
Equality wins and will always win in the end.
Let today’s and tomorrow’s SCOTUS cases move this forward to where we treat others equally in all things, including marriage.
