This photo was taken on Oct 27, 2012 with my iPhone 4S using the panorama feature. We had a snow day just before, which explains why the mountain range still has a cap of the icy cold stuff.
This is pretty much a part of the view that I see most days. While we don’t live this close to the mountain range, to get here is only a 15 minute drive.
This range is called the Wasatch Mountains, and it covers a large part of the northern Utah area. Contained in this range are several ski resorts like Snowbird, Alta, Brighton and Solitude, most commonly referred to as the Wasatch Front.
On the back side of these mountains is the Park City area. It’s quite a nice thing to take into view on a regular basis. My favorite view of these mountains is when the sky is clear and when it’s warm outside. The snow covered mountains during the winter time are nice, too, but the snow gets old after a while.
Unless of course you are into skiing, then you have a lot of winter time to enjoy.
