I never met Monty in person, but feel like I know him from the photos and videos I viewed while making this video compilation.

Monty The Wonder Dog – Turns 16

Today, one of my favorite bloggers across the pond [Dutch Bitch is in that list of favorites, too] celebrates a birthday. That would be Penelope, who is a very young 39.

The above photo is the one that I have always associated with Penelope. It’s her avatar in just about every online place she occupies. It’s the one that says “It’s Wine O’ Clock” [which I rebrand as "Gin O' Clock"] and a reminder to me that someday, I would like to replace the photo image of her with one that is in person.

My chats, tweets and Skype conversations with her almost always make me laugh. She’s always providing some insightful wisdom to me, which ends up helping me get through the second half of my day [multiple time zones excludes the first half of my day]. And all of those phrases like “gone tits up” or “up in my tits” are ones that I’ve learned to now use properly, thanks to her.

So on this day, I wish her a great birthday. Because we all know she deserves it.

Utah’s weather at this time of the year can be very sporadic. One minute it’s cold. The next, it’s sunny. So I thought planning an episode around the last few days of rainy weather would work. And we actually did have rain here this morning when I was still puttering about the house in my jammies. But I wasn’t prepared to hop on the scooter and go take a ride at 9:30am [although I'm sure images of me on a scooter in pajamas are making you laugh right now]. I was hoping for harder rain in the afternoon, but instead, we ended up with threatening clouds and sunshine.

So what does this mean? It means Scooter Sunday is [once again] delayed this week. Hang tight for the next few days and I’ll complete the episode and get it posted.

But all is not lost. I did actually do a video this weekend. Not scooter related, but one I think you’ll like. I know Penelope did. Head over to her blog and check it out.

I want to thank all of you for tuning in for this first season. And for being extra patient with me these last few weeks. It’s been a challenging one, filled with busy day job work, story writing and as I recently blogged about, the loss of our two oldest cats.

Scooter Sunday returns

While the Snowy Sunday videos were fun and entertaining, I know for a fact that there’s some diehard Scooter Sunday fans that have been waiting longer than I have for the snow to melt. Well, the wait is only one more week. Next sunday is the return of Scooter Sunday, which begins it’s second season. More details next week, plus another contest, requested from long time reader Penelope.
