sybil law - Yay.. another Them Crooked Vultures fan. But I agree with you on the Foos... I like that Dave Grohl project the best.

kevin - Her London accent does have a rather charming tone to it. I can see why it reminds you of home.

Totally agree about Lily Allen. 'The Fear' is such a good song. Her first album is really quite good as well. I think I like her because she sings with a London accent and it reminds me of home somewhat ;-)

I am with on on Lily Allen and Them Crooked Vultures. Although, anything Dave Grohl does is pretty much aces in my book - I am totally biased. Still like the Foos more, though.

grant - you are most welcome.

dave2 - I would say it's because he's not lead singing and he's behind a drum kit, but he's done that before and quite well.

mocha - Loved the song "1901" so much, I used it in one of my Scooter Sunday videos.

kapgar - I'm not a big Josh Homme fan, but somehow I like him in this. As for Chickenfoot, I listened to it a lot, but it was the Van Halen-like sound that grabbed me. And I'm glad there's another that doesn't get the "oh wow" hype of Grizzly Bear.

I'm with Dave, Them Crooked Vultures sadly did nothing for me. I don't understand why either.

Also, though, I was letdown by Chickenfoot. Not bad, but not what I was expecting. Maybe I just haven't listened to it enough.

I also do not get the Grizzly Bear fascination. I tried really hard to like it. And I almost felt blasphemous for not including it. C'est la vie.

Passion Pit and Silversun Pickups only barely missed being included on my list. Passion Pit being closer that Silversun.

I loved LOVED "1901" by Phoenix. Also, a big UPS to Cage the Elephant as well. Some of the others I wasn't familiar with so I will have to go take a listen.

I was with you right up until the end, as I was not impressed with "Them Crooked Vultures." This was odd for me, because I love everything Dave Grohl had done up until then.
