kilax - Some of the soups we get at Whole Foods actually list "vegetarian" on them, but the main grocery stores don't seem to have much of that selection. Mostly main stream brands and flavors. And yes, that defense of how "healthy" their soups are, with extra details about what's actually used in it, just short of telling you the entire recipe.

I found a Select Harvest soup that I really like. My biggest gripe is that I have to read all the tiny print ingredients to see if chicken stock is in it. Even though that type has less ingredients, it's still a pain. I wish there was a label somewhere on the front that said "vegetarian" (okay, I would still read it then!).

Have you noticed how defensive the labeling is on those cans? They are trying to make it "healthy" so they actually explain the mystery ingredients. Ha ha.

kris - I'm actually having a XXX this morning (the drink, of course). And looking forward to some home brewed beer. If it's anything like what you had that day I came over a few weeks back, then I'm sure I'll like it. The question is: will it mix well with Gumbys? LOL Hope Don gets better soon.

Nope not hungry.... at 7:30 in the morning the only one of those that seemed even remotely like it would be a pleasure to consume at this hour is the XXX and I do think that would do justice replacing my cup of coffee... Perhaps later it might... BTW get ready for some home brewed beer at the XMas party this year.... It is looking pretty good. Since Don just had knee surgery and can't come over there is actually a chance this keg may make it that long.....

whall - Wow... that's pretty cool. That's a lot of soda intake, now replaced by water. Water does beat all of these energy drinks and other flavored drinks in a lot of areas.

kapgar - I remember you liking the XXX. Tilt is a different animal altogether.

about a month or two ago, I switched from 2-10 cans of soda a day (usually Pepsi and/or Coke, but sometimes Dr P, mountain dew, whatever) to 2-10 diet cans of soda a day (usually Pepsi Max, Diet Dr Pepper or Diet Coke).

I noticed myself feeling a little lighter and had a little more energy.

About 2 weeks ago I switched no NO sodas (except maybe 2 per week) and just water all day.

I noticed a lot more energy. And I spend way less money.

I'm liking it so far.

penelope - I don't mind a label update every few years, but 3 times in under 2 months is a bit too much. I will have to try that Chicken Broth... it sounds good. Get better soon.

I can't say that I'm hungry but then it is only 6.57am my time ;o)
I'm with you on the changing lables thing. It drives me crazy! I have been eating rather a lot of soup this week due to being sick and I highly reccommend Heinz Chicken Broth - very delcious!
