Minor Formatting Change
All of my previous posts have had some form of formatting to them. I used a SPAN tag that formats the text to a Verdena font. It seemed to work ok, but there’s some feed readers and browsers that had an odd display to it. The formatting looked like there were tons of space between paragraphs [I am still using the < p > tags for each paragraph]. So the last post and all posts from here on out will not be using the SPAN tags. It appears to format the text better, at least from what I’ve seen. Let me know if you see any difference.
How Many More Episodes?
I’ve had a couple of people ask me how many more video episodes of Scooter Sunday Captured will I be doing this year. Well, that all depends on the weather here in Utah. So far, it’s been cold in the mornings, but warm during the day. We had a cold snap last weekend with some snow, but this weekend has been very nice… in the low 70’s. Perfect for scooter riding. But as I’ve mentioned before, cold weather is just around the corner. So enjoy the videos while I still have scooter-friendly weather. Once I’ve put the scooter away for the season, I’ll still be making videos… just something that’s more winter-friendly. I’ll post the details on that soon.
Ha! I loved “…even though I’m not smiling. I’m just trying to keep the bugs out of my mouth.” You did look very content and happy anyway 🙂
Excellent choice for the song!
Double my pleasure! Ha!
I love the scooter shadow when you make that turn. Very artistic 🙂
I absolutely hate church traffic. We actually leave our house a different route on Sundays. Ugh.
catherine – Thank you. I am pretty happy and content when I ride. All bugs aside.
kilax – I love that song (which I didn’t include the name in the actual video due to running out of a place to put it). And thanks for noticing the scooter shadow scene. That one was just part of the footage I did last week and I liked it so much, I had to include it somewhere.
Church traffic…. here in Utah, there’s a church on every corner (not that much of an exaggeration, seriously) and you can pretty much set your watch when it lets out.
Do you laugh maniacally when you run stop signs? Sort of in a putting-it-in-The-Man’s face kind of way?
I run most every sign on my bike. I slow, but I figure if I stop and unclip I’m not really doing the guy behind me a favor. I always stop if there’s cross traffic. (I don’t do the laughing thing though … I’m normally trying to catch my breath.)
delmer – I do, actually… it’s kind of cool. Almost in sort of bad way… putting it to the man while being The Man!
I’m the same way on the scooter…. if someone gets behind me, it takes me a bit to get going again, especially so going up hill.
Never enough of Scooter Sunday even if I can’t watch it til Monday.
I am seaching for some idea to write in my blog… somehow come to your blog. best of luck. Eugene
You still haven’t used a song that I don’t like. Not that I want you to, just saying.
Next time will you run 3 stop signs? Or is it like a pattern…one, none, two, none, three, none, etc.?
xisor – Glad you like them. Even worth it a day later… 🙂
tori – Well thank you. Guess that means I have a good taste in music.
3 stop signs? Maybe… 😉 But I can tell you there’s no pattern. It all depends where I go and if the lack of traffic is on my side. 🙂
I would like to request a winter-time Scooter Sunday. I would like to see something like Dumb and Dumber with snotcicles frozen to your face. 😉
kapgar – LMAO… ok, that’s funny. I may have to explore something like that. Of course, it may be the final episode… but it’s the fans that matter. 😉
lmao i love what i have come back to! i almost peed myself at the bugs part. this is why i love ya
Two things…
1. Were you and the scooter hiding in the bushes when watching the traffic?
2. Thanks, now I might have to download a Stone Temple Pilots song.
amanda – Welcome back, Amanda. The bugs I can keep out of my mouth… it’s the ones that go up my nose that I don’t have any protection from.
brandon – 1. Hiding, yes. In the bushes, no. Just by a fence by the parkway. and 2. “Interstate Love Song” is one of the best tunes of the 90’s I couldn’t resist using it with that line “waiting, on a Sunday afternoon”
eugene – Welcome. Glad you found my blog. Hope it will help you write something for yours.
Wow, already up to #27. Time flies when you’re on a scooter.
whall – Yeah… #27 posts and 6 videos (not counting the outtakes one). Pretty soon, I’ll have 100 under my belt and giving away prizes.
I like Kapgar’s idea. I think that escalates it to a dare…
I 2nd the motion for Kapgar’s idea.
beth – A dare… now the count is up to 2.
xisor – And a 3rd. Looks like the challenge is on. Ok, we’ll see what happens a week from this Sunday.
Great song! And TWO stop signs! Ahhh the joy! Another great video, Marty. I’ll be sad when you have to quit riding for the winter.
winter – Thanks. Yep, TWO stop signs this time. And I will be sad too, even though I’ll switch to something else for making video during the winter time.
