kilax - You are not crazy... there's a few others that I talked to that didn't like it much. I do want to see "Cars" (especially now that I know that George Carlin was in it), but I'm in no rush. We just got back from seeing Wall-E a second time. Even better. More things got noticed the second time around.

I thought Cars was kind of boring. A lot of my family members are mechanics though, so they acted all pissy when I told them it wasn't my fav. They said, "YOU DIDN'T LIKE CARS?!?!" like I was crazy... uh... yeah...

tori - Yes, it is very surprising. I remember your tales of your yard sale. Odd how people operate at yard sales.

kapgar - Rubik's Cube freak here, too. I still own my original from the early 80's.

There were a couple Mac references in there. And I love that still with the Cube. I'm a Rubik's Cube freak.

Isn't it surprising what people don't buy at garage/yard sales? I was shocked at the good stuff we were left with, while people bought the stuff that I thought was junk. Interesting.

winter - That entertainment unit was originally purchased 9 years ago by my wife. We used it until 4 years ago, when we gave it to her daughter to use. Now they have moved on and want something different and there is no one else to pass it down to. So far, it's been in the front of our house for almost 48 hours and no one has come by to swipe it. Even at free, it's not a taker :-( Oh well.

I'm surprised no one bought the entertainment unit. It looks like it's in great shape! I need something like that for Motley's room and that woulda been a great price. Altho, I rather think it wouldn't fit in my Intrepid. ;)

penelope - Thank you very much.

whall - Yeah, that Blackberry issue. It must be related to when I added the preview plugin, because the very minor changes to the .CSS I made shouldn't have done anything to break comment posting.

And I do know what you mean. Good to hear you loved the movie as well. I figured as such.

dmarks - Well, Jobs is still involved in some ways. Although Pixar's main creative mind in the last 8 years hasn't been Jobs. It's been John Lasseter, who's driven many projects into their collective success.

If it's Jobs you don't like, then you should never buy an iPod, iPhone or a Mac. BTW, those iMacs you speak of were 10 years ago. The latest models (even though they are Jobs inspired) are much more robust.

Maybe I will like Pixar even more than it is now Jobs-less. At least I think it is? I've never liked him too much, especially with double-priced computers, iMacs that lacked standard ports and removable storage but still cost way too much, and the lame "Don't Steal Music" campaign for iPod. I mean, really. You can't steal music with the thing.

Hmm, I thought I left a comment on Karl's guest post, but that was probably when I got frustrated after typing such a masterpiece on my blackberry only to find that it was not submitting and kept giving me errors. I'll see if I can dredge up the wit and humor I conveyed so effortlessly yet so non-effectively way back then.

and I loved WHALL-E too... just haven't had the occasion to post about it. I was surprised by the main plot (which I won't reveal here) - something in me found pride and respect for Disney's Cajones, if you know what I mean.
